Hello, I’m Ali Fowler. I am based in a small workshop in Newcastle-under-Lyme and design and create stylish and functional pieces in wood, mixed metals and Sterling silver. I draw inspiration from the natural world, and combine this with a fascination in design, architecture and sculpture. Each piece is unique and a one-off. It is made and finished by hand, by me.

After graduating with a real passion for silversmithing from the famous School of Jewellery in the heart of Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter, I started to explore woodturning. I now combine both these interests to create modern and contemporary pieces for the home. I also design and make contemporary jewellery pieces. 

I am striving to reduce my ecological impact as much as possible. When sourcing my materials I am committed to only use wood sustainably sourced from the UK, Europe and America. My silver is 100% recycled and my packaging is either recycled or recyclable. 

And the name Silv-r Designs? It’s a play on two words … Silva for all things woody and Silver for my other passion.
